The leaves are glossy with an iridescent shimmer, featuring deep green hues, tinged with reds, purples, and dark pink veins. This compact Alocasia makes a dramatic statement and is perfect for plant enthusiasts who appreciate unique and exotic varieties. The compact nature also makes it perfect for terrariums.

Alocasia Azlanii Care Tips:

1. Light:

Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause the delicate leaves to scorch.

2. Soil:

Use a well-draining potting mix that includes regular soil, orchid bark, and perlite for aeration. Do not use peat moss, as it holds too much moisture, increasing the risk of root rot.

3. Watering:

Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Be careful not to let the plant sit in water, as this can lead to root rot.

4. Humidity:

High humidity (above 60%) is crucial for healthy growth. Increase humidity by misting regularly, using a humidifier, or placing the plant on a humidity tray.

5. Temperature:

Thrives in warm temperatures between 65-85°F (18-29°C). It’s sensitive to cold and should be kept away from drafts or temperatures below 60°F (16°C).

6. Fertilization:

Feed every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a liquid fertilizer.

7. Pruning:

Prune dead or yellowing leaves to keep the plant healthy and encourage new growth.

8. Propagation:

Best propagated through division when repotting. Carefully separate the offsets from the mother plant and plant them in a similar well-draining mix.
