Hoya Chouke is a unique and rare Hoya variety that features thick, succulent-like leaves with a glossy sheen. The plant produces clusters of small, star-shaped flowers that give off a subtle, sweet fragrance. Known for its trailing vines, Hoya Chouke makes a stunning addition to hanging baskets or shelves, where its lush, green foliage can cascade gracefully. This easy-to-care-for plant is perfect for both novice and experienced plant enthusiasts.

Hoya Chouke Care Tips:

1. Light:

Prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate lower light conditions but will grow more slowly and may not bloom as frequently.

2. Soil:

Use a well-draining mix, such as one composed of soil, perlite, and orchid bark. This allows for excellent aeration and prevents the roots from sitting in excess moisture.

3. Watering:

Water the plant when the top 75% of soil has dried out. Allow the water to fully drain from the pot, ensuring that the plant does not sit in standing water. Hoya Chouke prefers to dry out slightly between waterings.

4. Humidity:

While it can tolerate average indoor humidity levels, Hoya Chouke thrives in higher humidity, especially when in bloom. Consider misting the plant or placing it near a humidifier for optimal growth.

5. Temperature:

Best kept in temperatures between 60-80°F (16-27°C). Avoid exposing it to temperatures below 50°F (10°C) or cold drafts.

6. Fertilization:

Feed with a diluted liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding during the fall and winter when the plant is in its dormant phase.

7. Pruning & Maintenance:

Prune the vines occasionally to encourage bushier growth and remove any dead or damaged leaves. Avoid cutting the flower peduncles, as Hoya Chouke blooms from the same peduncle year after year.

8. Propagation:

Propagate through stem cuttings by placing a cutting with at least one node in water or moist soil. Once the roots develop, transfer the cutting to its own pot with a well-draining mix.
