Hoya Aff. Burtoniae is a charming, compact, trailing plant known for its slightly fuzzy, dark green leaves that can develop a reddish tint when exposed to bright light. Its delicate, star-shaped flowers emerge in clusters, releasing a pleasant fragrance, and are a favorite among Hoya enthusiasts. This versatile plant is perfect for hanging planters or shelf displays, where its cascading vines can be appreciated.

Hoya Aff. Burtoniae Care Tips:

1. Light:

Prefers bright, indirect light. A few hours of soft morning sun can help maintain its color. Avoid prolonged exposure to intense direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.

2. Soil:

Use a well-draining mix specifically for Hoyas or succulents, with added perlite or orchid bark for aeration. Avoid using moss-based mixes, as they tend to hold excess moisture.

3. Watering:

Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it’s better to let this Hoya dry slightly between watering sessions.

4. Humidity:

Thrives in moderate humidity levels (around 40-60%). Increase humidity slightly to promote flowering, but the plant is tolerant of standard indoor conditions.

5. Temperature:

Ideal in temperatures between 60-85°F (16-29°C). Keep it away from drafts and protect it from temperatures below 50°F (10°C).

6. Fertilization:

Feed once a month with a balanced, diluted fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid over-fertilizing, especially in winter.

7. Propagation:

Propagates easily from stem cuttings. Allow cuttings to dry before placing them in well-draining soil to encourage rooting.
