The Variegated String of Pearls (Senecio rowleyanus variegatus) is a unique, cascading succulent known for its delicate, bead-like leaves with stunning green, white, and sometimes pink hues. This trailing plant brings an eye-catching touch to any space, making it perfect for hanging baskets or shelves where its beauty can spill over the edges.

Variegated String of Pearls Care Tips:

1. Light:

Thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct morning sunlight. Variegated varieties benefit from extra light to maintain their colors but avoid intense midday sun, which can scorch the leaves.

2. Soil:

Use a well-draining, sandy cactus or succulent mix with added perlite or coarse sand for quick drainage. Avoid moss-based potting mixes, as they retain too much moisture.

3. Watering:

Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water sparingly, as overwatering can lead to root rot. During winter, reduce watering as the plant enters dormancy.

4. Humidity:

Tolerates average household humidity levels. Avoid high humidity, as it may cause the leaves to soften or the plant to rot.

5. Temperature:

Ideal in temperatures between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Protect from frost and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).

6. Fertilization:

Feed sparingly with a balanced, diluted succulent fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid fertilizing during dormancy in the winter.

7. Propagation:

Propagates easily through stem cuttings. Allow cuttings to dry and callous over before placing them in soil for rooting.
